Randall (Randy) K. Fowler

Owner/President

Professional Soil Classifier, License #38

Residing in Charleston, S.C. Earned a B.S. in Soil Science from North Carolina A&T University and graduate studies from The Ohio State University concentrating in Soil Science and Environmental Geochemistry. Twenty-eight (28) years of work experience included stints with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and as a Soil Scientist with the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Richard Threatt

Vice President of Operations

Originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina now residing in Summerville. Earned a B.S. in Marine Science from the College of Charleston and a M.S. in Management from Southern Wesleyan University. Retired from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control with thirty (30) years experience in evaluating site and soil conditions for the purpose of issuing onsite wastewater (septic) permits. Experience includes residential, commercial and subdivision soil evaluations throughout the sandhill and coastal regions of South Carolina.

Brandon Stephens

Field Associate

Over sixteen (16) years working with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, working in the Onsite Wastewater Program and serving as the Charleston County Onsite Wastewater Supervisor evaluating site and soil conditions for the purpose of issuing onsite wastewater (septic) permits. Worked seven (7) years with Knights Septic Tank Service, conducting site visits, soil reviews for septic repairs and working with customers on installation of septic systems.


Kim Crouse

Field Associate

Raised in Colleton County and retired from SC DHEC with 28 years of experience assisting customers in evaluating site and soil conditions for the purpose of designing and issuing onsite wastewater (septic) system permits.  Experience includes residential, commercial and subdivision evaluations through the Coastal and Sandhill counties in South Carolina along with the ePermitting process for application submissions and assisting with installation guidelines.    


Caroline Simpson

Field Associate

Caroline was raised in Sumter, South Carolina, but has lived in Charleston since 2011. She graduated from the College of Charleston with her bachelors in Biology and has worked within the SCDHEC onsite wastewater program for the last 5 years. Caroline has experience working with soils for the purpose of issuing septic permits. She enjoys hiking, boating, and traveling with her husband and their two dogs, Lola and Birdie.    


Amy Coffey

Administrative Support Coordinator

Originally from Johns Island, South Carolina, now residing in Charleston. During the past five (5) years, worked along side engineers and soil classifiers assisting customers with soil classifications, alternative and engineered septic designs.
